Dear Addams Families,
I wanted to relay some news to all of you. At last night’s School Board meeting, I accepted the position of District 54 Executive Director of Business Operations. The position will begin on July 1, 2024. Being the principal of Addams for the last eleven years has been the highlight of my professional career. I am so proud of what we have been able to accomplish as a staff working in collaboration with our families and students. It has always been my mission that “all are accepted and respected” at Addams and I will continue to champion this as a district leader. Addams truly is a special place to work, learn and grow. We always say that “once you are a Crusader, you are always a Crusader.” Although I will no longer be in the building as principal each day, I am excited for the opportunity to continue to support Addams Junior High and all schools in District 54 in a different capacity next year.
District 54 is currently interviewing for the next Addams principal. I will work closely with the candidate to ensure that they have all that they need to hit the ground running for next school year.
In the meantime, I look forward to ending the year with this group of students. After 28 years, working in a middle school, I will be graduating with our 8th graders on June 2!
