8th grade parents:

The following is everything you should need to know for graduation:

  • Graduation Ceremony:
    • The graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 pm on Sunday, May 21, at Wintrust Field (also known as Schaumburg Boomers Stadium) 1999 South Springinsguth Road, Schaumburg.  Graduates should arrive no later than 4 pm and report to the small parking lot on the southeast side of the stadium. Families are asked to park in the South lot.
    • A livestream of the ceremony will be posted to the District 54 YouTube Channel for individuals who are unable to be there that day.
    • Students will be walking on the dirt path along the first base line when they enter, and therefore choose your footwear wisely.
  • Graduation Medallions:  All graduates will receive their keepsake 8th grade medallion at the ceremony.
  • Where do we enter the stadium? Guests with special needs can enter through the “Main Entrance” and will be guided to a designated seating area on the concourse. All other guests should enter at the “1st Base Gate”.
  • What happens if it rains on graduation day?
If we should have to cancel the ceremony due to inclement weather, we will notify all families by 3:30 pm that day. We will transition to an indoor graduation at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, May 23 at Schaumburg High School. 8th graders would NOT attend school on Monday, May 22 or Tuesday, May 23.

As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our front office staff or me. Thank you for your continuous support this year!

Regards,
