Jane Addams Jr High PTA is registered for School Of Excellence. Help support the PTA to complete the Survey by November 15th and by purchasing a membership. PTA Memberships are $10 for 1 parent, faculty, community or 2 for $15 (dual parents, faculty, community). Purchase memberships online and your membership card will be emailed to you. Next Membership Drive deadline 12/1/24. We are at 157 and the goal is 250. The PTA is an organization that supports and advocates for the students at Jane Addams Jr. High. All the funds are used to organize activities and events that benefit Jane Addams Jr. High Students and Teachers. PTA helps support many great events including: PBIS Assemblies, Addams 2K & Kids Dash, 8th Grade Activity Day, 8th Grade Dance, and to show our appreciation for the Addams Teachers and Administration throughout the year.
Being a PTA Member, a Volunteer and/or taking a leadership role within the PTA Executive Board at Addams or Council allows everyone to continue to work towards:

- PTA Mission: To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families & communities for all children.

FUN LUNCH
Fun Lunches will be on Fridays beginning on Friday, September 6th. Order Fun Lunch through the Marla’s Lunch website. Here are directions on how to order. If this is your first time making an account, please see the directions for the one-time school password. All Marla’s Lunch orders are due on Tuesdays at 9:00 A.M. for the following week. Every Tuesdays & Thursdays are pizza for $3 per slice from Old Town Pizza. Students pay with cash only.

October – Culver’s was another successful event. Lots of fun with the spin and awesome experiences dining with families & friends! Culver’s will donate 15% of the group’s sales. FAMILY NIGHT OUTS
Chicago Wolves Hockey Game vs Manitoba Moose on Saturday, November 16th at AllState Arena at 6920 Mannheim Rd., Rosemont, IL 60018. Puck drops at 7:00 P.M. Deadline to reserve your tickets is Friday, 11/15/24 before 10:00PM (CST). On the day of the game, families will go to the “Will Call” at the building across the AllState Arena to pick up the tickets. See flyer for more details. Order tickets HERE. To purchase tickets has been extended today until 10:00pm (it was 12:00 noon). I will be there at AllState Arena and pick up all tickets then distribute them to all families at the Will Call building across from the AllState Arena

REFLECTIONS
theme: accepting imperfections
This annual program has been successful since 1969 with the Theme “Children and Youth, Mirror their World”.
The Reflections Showcase will be on Friday, 11/22/24 between 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at Schaumburg D54 Professional Learning Center (PLC).
Every year it continues to grow. This year, we have 6 Addams Artists with their beautiful Art pieces for “Accepting Imperfections”. See the flyer HERE. The purpose of the program is to encourage students to develop their talents in the arts and give them an opportunity to express themselves and explore their talents in any of the Arts categories: Dance, Film, Literature, Photography, Musical Composition, and Visual Arts. Addams Art pieces were turned in to Schaumburg Township Council (STC) PTA then the next step is Northwest Cook Region (NWCR) PTA, and the State Of Illinois PTA. Parents will be notified via email of updates and important information. The Reflections Showcase will be on Friday, 11/22/24 between 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at Schaumburg D54 Professional Learning Center (PLC). The Reception & Spotlight events will be in Spring 2025.
