Jane Addams Jr High PTA is registered for School Of Excellence. Help support the PTA to complete the Survey by November 15th and by purchasing a membership. PTA Memberships are $10 for 1 parent, faculty, community or 2 for $15 (dual parents, faculty, community). Purchase memberships online and your membership card will be emailed to you.
Next Membership Drive deadline 2/1/25. We are at 175 and the goal is 250. The PTA is an organization that fundraises, advocates, provides support services, volunteers, and connects with D54 schools, the communities & partnerships to benefit the Students and Teachers/Staff at Jane Addams Jr High. All the funds are used to organize activities and events including: educational support, PBIS Assemblies, Couch to 2 mile race & Kids Dash, 8th Grade Activity Day, 8th Grade Dance, Reflections, summer programs, Seniors College Scholarships, and to show our appreciation for the Addams Teachers/Staff and Administration throughout the year.
Being a PTA Member, Volunteer or leadership role within the PTA Executive Board at Addams or STC allows everyone to continue to work towards:

FUN LUNCH
Fun Lunches will be on Fridays beginning on Friday, September 6th. Order Fun Lunch through the Marla’s Lunch website. Here are directions on how to order. If this is your first time making an account, please see the directions for the one-time school password. All Marla’s Lunch orders are due on Tuesdays at 9:00 A.M. for the following week. Every Tuesdays & Thursdays are pizza for $3 per slice from Old Town Pizza. Students pay with cash only.

STC of ptas D54 SENIORS COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS information for class of 2025
As part of its commitment to lifelong learning and community involvement, the Schaumburg Township Council of PTAs offers scholarships to graduating seniors who attended D54 and who wish to further their education. Three types of scholarships are available.
- The Four-Year College/University Scholarship is available to graduating seniors with an unweighted GPA of 3.3 or higher; or a weighted GPA of 3.6. Six scholarships are available in the amount of $1,500 each. Click here to complete the Four-Year Scholarship Application.
- The Junior College/Trade School/Vocational School Scholarship in the amount of $1,500 is available to graduating seniors with an unweighted GPA of 2.85 or higher; or a weighted GPA of 2.9 or higher. This scholarship is only available to a student attending a Junior College/Trade School/Vocational School in the fall. If you decide to attend a 4-year college or university, you will forfeit the scholarship, and it will be given to the applicant with the next highest score. - The Bonnie Greenberg Memorial Scholarship is available to a Graduating Senior with Special Education needs. A current IEP or 504 plan is a requirement for this scholarship. One scholarship in the amount of $1,500 will be awarded. Click here to complete the Bonnie Greenberg Scholarship Application.
All scholarship applicants will be evaluated on academics, responses to essay questions, and extracurricular activities/community involvement/leadership opportunities.
All applications are due by midnight on Friday, February 28, 2025. All candidates will be notified by April 15, 2025. Awards will be presented at the scholarship dinner on May 14, 2025 at Mead Jr. High School.

Addams Art pieces were turned in to Schaumburg Township Council (STC) PTA then the next step is Northwest Cook Region (NWCR) PTA, and the State Of Illinois PTA. Parents will be notified via email of updates and important information. The Reception & Spotlight events will be in Spring 2025.
