With the colder weather, we have noticed that the students are carrying around more belongings from class to class. The amount of items in a student’s backpack and what they are carrying has, at times, created some clustered, or disorganized, occurrences. As a result, we will start asking students to hold all of their belongings in their lockers during each school day, including their backpacks.
As we come out of winter break, students will only be allowed to bring their Chromebook case, phone, writing supplies, and any class specific materials to each class. They will be visiting their lockers multiple times each day. We will be supporting the students through this shift by providing them organizational lessons and practice runs next week. When we return in January, we will have extended passing periods so students are not marked tardy as they acclimate to this change. Please feel free to contact me directly at
