Dear Addams Families,
We absolutely thrilled by the student response to the Fire and Ice dance that will be held tomorrow evening. This will be the most attended dance that I have ever been a part of as a principal (550 tickets were sold). This will truly be a peak moment for our students!
As such, we wanted to provide a few points of clarification for tomorrow night:
- Following district policy, students MUST attend school tomorrow for at least half the day to come to the event. If a student is absent the entire day and comes to the door, they will be denied entry to the event.
- Included in the price of the ticket, each student will receive a slice of pizza and a water. In addition, the vending machines will be filled prior to the event.
- The dance is for Addams students only and they must have purchased a ticket to attend. In the event, they lost the physical ticket we will verify their purchase and allow them into the dance.
- NO tickets will be sold tomorrow during lunch or at the door of the event. At this point, we are sold out.
- Going to the dance is a privilege. If a student has excessive missing assignments or a behavioral infraction tomorrow, we reserve the right to take away their ability to attend the dance.
- Parents should plan to drop students off by 6 pm and pick them up at 8 pm sharp. There is no need for parents to walk students into the dance. We have upwards of 30 staff volunteers that will be on hand to chaperone the event.
- Once student enters the building, they need to remain inside until leaving at the conclusion of the event. If your student needs to leave early, please contact us.
- Students will be able to have cell phones but they MUST only take pictures/videos of friends that have given permission. Students that do not follow this policy could be subject to disciplinary action.
As always, we thank you for your partnership!
Regards,
Chris Bingen
