Aspiring Teachers   Research and talk with current teachers on what education, different responsibilities and the various skills you need to become a teacher.

Club Unify brings students with special needs and general education students together for social interactions and sports related activities (Club meets all school year).
Coding Club   Students will use Google CS First Game Design to learn basic video game concepts using block-based coding language (Club meets September-October).

Provide students with an opportunity to explore, create and invent using a variety of tools and technology including cricut machine, t-shirt design heat press, and much more (Club meets January-April).

Crusader Chorus

 

[email protected]  After school chorus is for students that enjoy singing and will participate in performances throughout the school year (Club meets August-November & April-May).

Students develop and implement various lessons for the incoming 6th grade students at Campanelli School.  Addams students will also stream these lessons to 6th grade students at our other feeder schools (Club meets February-May).
Dissection Club [email protected]   Students will be participating in actual dissections (Club meets September-December).
Dooley & Addams Japanese Club [email protected] 

 

Students will work with students from Dooley elementary school to prepare for the Junior Japan Bowl (Club meets from February-April).
Drone Club [email protected] Students will learn how to safely fly a drone.  Students will be able to program the drone to complete obstacle courses (Club meets April-May).
Entrepreneur Club [email protected] 

 

Students will turn big ideas into reality–especially for those interested in starting a business. We will teach students how to create financial viability, assess feedback, testing data, and develop entrepreneur qualities and characteristics. Students will pitch a business idea to a small group of peers and adults. (Club meets October – May)
Fishing Club [email protected]

Students will learn the fine art of fishing. Explore different types of lures and baits. Learn the many types of fish species and habitats that they live in. Students will also work together to solve many types of issues that arise during a day on the water. (Club meets September – November)
Fluid Power Club [email protected]   Students will work in teams of 3-4 and design, build, test a device that picks up a cylinder and moves it to a different location all by hydraulics (Club meets October- November).

FUSE [email protected] 

 

Students will take on challenges and solve them.  They choose who they work with and whether they work alone or collaboratively.  This choice and interest-centered environment helps all students find challenges which inspire learning and engagement (Club meets Dec-Jan).  Please click here for the Fuse permission form.
Future Millionaires [email protected]  Students will learn financial literacy so they can develop healthy money habits and the entrepreneurial spirit (Club meets October-January).
Future Crusader Singers [email protected]   8th Grade Choir students will work with the 5th & 6th graders on singing operations to bridge the gap and connect with future members (Club meets September-November).
GEMS [email protected] 

 

Girls in Engineering, Math and Science, we will perform science experiments or engineering challenges to strengthen problem solving skills, promote positive team communication and have some fun while learning (Club meets October-December).

Lego Club [email protected]  Students will utilize creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking and cooperation to build solutions to various engineering design challenges. Available kits will include Lego Education STEM sets as well as Lego Creative brick sets (Club meets T-W-TH mornings October-April)

Musical/Play

Teach and coach students on acting skills, singing, dancing and rehearsing for a musical.  Teach crew techniques for behind the scene support, costumes and building sets.  The Musical performance is in March (Club meets November – March).

Rocket Club

 

[email protected]  Students will build a rocket from scratch at their own pace using a self-guided tutorial.  Finally, in May they will launch their rockets at Olympic Park (Club meets February-March).
Rube Goldberg   Students compete with machines they have designed and created.  Competitions encourage teamwork and problem solving (Club meets January-March).

Students showcase their specific talents which they perform twice; once for the entire school and in the evening for their families (Club meets April-May).

Students will learn basic yoga poses and stretches, build strength of mind and body, learning through breath and body work (Club meets in the spring- dates TBD).
