First Days of School:
The first full day of school is Thursday, August 14 and will be for 7th grade students ONLY. This day is designated for seventh grade students to get acclimated and comfortable with Jane Addams Junior High. We run a special schedule where seventh grade students get building tours, practice opening their lockers, practice getting to all of their classes, and learn about life at Addams. When students arrive for the first day, they proceed to the gym where they should find their Inspire teacher.
The first day of school for both 7th and 8th grade students is Friday, August 15. Eight grade students get to join in on the fun. They will get to meet their new teachers, practice lockers, and learn all about how to Accept, Achieve, and Amaze.
Starting Monday, August 18, students will begin each day with their Inspire class as part of our “First Fifteen” program. The “First Fifteen” allows our Crusaders to learn about the principles of positive psychology and develop a strong relationship with their Inspire teacher. Our students will also be participating in Digital Citizenship lessons in their language arts, social studies, science, and PE classes.
