Fall MAP Assessment

Students will participate in fall MAP testing during mathematics classes 8/26-8/28. Reading MAP will follow on 8/29-9/3. As a reminder, we use computer-based MAP assessment tools that will  inform teachers of the immediate instructional needs of students. MAP results equip educators with key data to help personalize instruction and pinpoint individual student needs. Make-up MAP testing will occur through September 9th.

Thank you once again to everyone who was able to attend Tuesday’s Curriculum Night at Addams. The evening provided our staff the opportunity to interact with families and help set the tone for a positive school year.  The Curriculum Night opening presentation is attached for reference. Cross Country and Girls Basketball

Cross Country and Girls Basketball started on Thursday, August 22. Students interested in any extracurricular sport in District 54 must have a current sports physical on file with the nurse, along with concussion protocol forms signed to tryout/participate. Please note that physical examinations are good for 13 months from the date of the exam.

Cross country is a no cut sport, open to anyone that likes to run and have fun! Girls basketball is a cut sport. Any questions regarding the current paperwork on file, please contact our school nurse at 847-357-5900.

Activity Buses

After school activity buses started on Thursday, August 22. These buses leave Addams at 4 pm every weekday except Wednesdays.  Activity Buses are made available to students who are eligible to ride the bus to and from school.  If your student rides a small bus to school, they must order a small activity bus by 10 a.m. each day.  All students riding the 4 p.m. activity buses must have their bus passes available for the driver. The bus will stop at community stops, which may not be the same as the student’s regular bus stop. To find the closest stop and the correct route for your student, you may contact our main office at 847-357-5900.  Club sponsors and sport coaches will assist the students in determining their activity bus.

Pizza Sales

Every Tuesday and Thursday we will serve Old Town Pizza for interested students. Pizza is $3 per slice and sold during lunch hours.
