Dear Parent/Guardian,

Addams’s Curriculum Night will be held “tonight” Tuesday, August 23th.  This evening provides our staff the opportunity to interact with you and help set the tone for a positive school year.  During Curriculum Night, you will have an opportunity to see our school, hear about our curriculum, and most importantly, meet our staff. Our curriculum, special programs, and student expectations will be part of the teacher presentations.  We look forward to sharing our Addams vision to Accept, Achieve and Amaze! Curriculum Night is a parents-only evening and is not meant for individual conferences. Parents are welcome to contact teachers anytime via phone or email to discuss successes or challenges of their child.

Please bring a copy of your child’s schedule as you will need it to navigate the building. Building maps will be distributed as you arrive at Addams.

The evening’s program will begin at 6:00 PM in the gymnasium with a presentation by administration. We will follow the time schedule listed below:

Refreshments: Feel free to stop by the cafeteria during your child’s lunch period for refreshments.

** Kleenex: As a school, we are still short on boxes of Kleenex for the year. Please consider bringing Kleenex to donate on Curriculum Night. You can drop it off in the gym when you arrive.

Thank you for your help in getting us off to a smooth and successful start to the school year.  The encouragement and support that you have given your students is most evident.  With a collaborative approach, we will ensure success for each student.  The staff of Jane Addams Junior High looks forward to seeing you on Curriculum Night.

Sincerely,
