Students Chorus Students

Dear Addams Community:

As we head into the parent-teacher conferences and the Thanksgiving holiday week, we would like to take this time to relay how grateful we are to learn and work in this fantastic community! We appreciate the support of our parents and your partnership in ensuring student success.

We have seen some peak moments this week that we want to share. First, our Dual Language Japanese program partnered with the Chicago Futabakai Japanese School for a unique learning experience. 8th grade students from Chicago Futabakai spent the day at Addams on Thursday. They received tours of the building from our students and the two groups were able to interact all day, taking part in fun activities. It was a perfect way for our students to practice their communication skills and learn from others. Next, Ms. Caliendo and the Addams chorus put on an amazing show this past Wednesday evening. We are lucky to have so many talented singers here at Addams. Finally, this afternoon, we will end the day with a longstanding Addams tradition… Music Bingo. Students will participate in their Inspire rooms as DJ Blingin’ Bingen and the Muss Buss mix up some songs over Zoom. Hopefully, your child will come home with a prize from the big game!

Again, we look forward to seeing many of you this coming Monday or Tuesday and wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Regards,

District 54 Severe Weather Response Plan
In order to help parents better prepare for the severe cold weather and snow we often get during winters in our community, please review the District 54 Severe Weather Response Plan.

District 54 Virtual Backpack

District 54 shares information about community events with our students and families through our Virtual Backpack.  We know that parents are interested in extracurricular activities. At the same time, we don’t want the homework, letters from the teachers, school news and other important district information to get lost among the countless other pieces of paper in our students’ backpacks.  Please click here for additional information.
