Fluid power

Dear Addams Community:

It is our staff’s intent to make this a December to remember for our students! All content areas have planned and are implementing engaging lessons to take us right up to winter break. Our incredible students were AMAZING us again this week. As a couple examples, the Addams Hydraulics teams made represented our building at the District 54 Fluid Power competition. A special congratulations goes out to the Hexide Squad. They won the overall competition and brought home a large trophy that will be displayed in the Addams trophy cabinet. In addition, four of our students went with the District 54 Jazz Band to perform at the Illinois Retired Teacher Luncheon at the Inverness Golf Club and got rave reviews. We look forward to seeing what our students will accomplish the next three weeks!

Have a wonderful weekend and go USA men’s soccer team! As for the Bears, I am not sure if we should root for a win against the Packers or a loss to help get a higher draft pick for next year. I am one conflicted fan.

Regards,

District 54 Severe Weather Response Plan
In order to help parents better prepare for the severe cold weather and snow we often get during winters in our community, please review the District 54 Severe Weather Response Plan.

District 54 Virtual Backpack

District 54 shares information about community events with our students and families through our Virtual Backpack.  We know that parents are interested in extracurricular activities. At the same time, we don’t want the homework, letters from the teachers, school news and other important district information to get lost among the countless other pieces of paper in our students’ backpacks.  Please click here for additional information.
