Dear Addams Community:

We would like to thank all the parents and students that joined us at the Schaumburg Culvers this past Wednesday night for the PTA sponsored fundraiser. We had an unbelievable turnout and I think I can safely say that everyone there had a blast! I, for one, gained a greater appreciation for the person in charge of the grill. It gets awfully hot back there as you are slinging burgers.

In addition, I would like to highlight the outstanding work of our Social Studies department as 8th graders “discovered” the importance of the Panama Canal this week through a series of stations in our Creation Studio (LMC). This is just one example of how our staff continues to develop opportunities to empower learners rather than have them passively receive information. The innovative instruction continues this coming week when the same 8th graders will learn about the Holocaust during Language Arts classes through an innovative museum exhibit in the Creation Studio. Please ask your child about these experiences to gain more information.

As always, do not hesitate to reach out to us with any concerns or questions. We value our partnership with parents and the community to fulfill the 54 Promise for our students.
