No track practice on Thursday, May 10 due to teacher meeting

Attention all track athletes there will be no track practice on Thursday due to a teacher meeting that is being held at Addams. There will be practice on Friday.

No track meet tomorrow- Conference track information 5/14

This is a reminder that the track meet that was scheduled for tomorrow May, 8 against Eisenhower was rescheduled as part of a double dual meet that took place on April 19.

The next Jane Addams track and field meet is the District 54 Conference meet on Monday, May 14 at 5:00 pm at Conant High School. There are no buses.  So please arrange transportation to Conant by 4:30 pm.  Any questions please email Mr. Truppa

2nd annual cancer walk

Ambassadors Club and Crusader Council are excited to
announce that we will be sponsoring our 2^nd annual Cancer
Walk! This will be taking place on Wednesday, May
23^rd starting at 2pm. There will be no
late buses, so please plan rides home in advance.

Last year, we raised $4,629 and we would love to raise
the bar even higher this year. We can’t do it without your help. All money
raised will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Families are invited to
accompany their children. We are hoping for an even bigger turnout than last
year. Get involved and help to make a difference!

Hoffman Estates High School Poms information

There will be an informational meeting for all interested in
trying out for HEHS Poms at 330 pm on Monday May 7^th in the HEHS
dance room. Informational packets will be provided. If you cannot attend this
meeting, informational packets will be available in the HEHS Main office as
well. Tryouts will be Tuesday May 22^nd-Thursday May 24^th
at HEHS. Please contact Ms. Atamian at HEHS in the Social Studies office with

School is dismissed at 10:40 am.

Message from Mr. Pearce about MAP testing

Next week, all of our students will take their Reading MAP
test.  The students will be take this test in their Language Arts class.  The
schedule will be:

Monday, April 23^rd           8^th Grade – Chapman, Thomas

Tuesday, April 24^th           8^th Grade – Vogt, Laugal, Wilk

Thursday, April 26^th         7^th Grade – Rivkin, Czaja, Collins

Friday, April 27^th                7^th Grade – Blenner, Lundeberg

This is an important assessment for your child and our  school.
Please do your best to make sure your child is in attendance on the day
of their test, that they are well rested, and have breakfast and fluids before
coming to school.  We want all of our students to do their best and show how
much they have grown from Fall to Spring!

All students will take the Math MAP test during the following
two weeks and we will run makeups for any absent students when they return to
school.

Track meet date change

The track meet that was scheduled for Tuesday, May 8 versus Eisenhower has been rescheduled as part of an existing meet with Keller on Thursday, April 19.

The meet on Thursday, April 19  will start at 3:00pm.  not 3:45 as was in the schedule.

The meet on Thursday, April 19 will be Addams vs. Keller, Addams vs. Eisenhower, and Eisenhower vs. Keller and will start at 3:00 pm

8th grade dance

The 8th Grade Graduation Dance will be on May 25th.

The dance will be from 7-9 pm.
