Hey Kids do you want help studying for your tests? The science department is sponsoring its first Study Budy Session
after school on Tuesday November 8th from 2:25-4:00. All 7th graders are
invited we will study with friends to prepare for the Atoms and Molecules Test

Cheerleading tryouts are taking place on Monday October 24th. Tryouts will most
likely run past 4 pm so please plan on having a ride available.
7th and
8th grade cheerleading squads will be posted Tuesday morning ,October 25. Our
first practice will be on Tuesday 10-25 from 2:15-4pm.

informational meeting will be held on Thursday October 27th at 630 pm***
The International Club will meet after school on Nov. 7. We will
be learning about the culture of Germany. If students will be attending our
club for the first time, please pick up a permission slip in the cafeteria,
complete it and turn it in to room 128.
Crusader Council will be raising money for the Almost Home
Foundation, which is a “no kill” animal shelter in our community. Grade levels
will compete to see who can raise the most money. Donate in your math classroom
or the cafeteria November 1st-December 9th. Donations of any amount are welcomed. The grade that wins gets
an edible treat! Show your affection towards animals and donate!

Halloween Dance: Friday, October 28th 7-9pm. Let Miss Jesenovec know if
you can help decorate for the dance after school on the 28th.
Dear Addams Community,
It is hard to believe that October is here and the fall weather is upon us! It is not hard to believe that great things are happening at Jane Addams Junior High. Great things are happening because students, staff, and families are working together to help each child learn at high levels.
I hope that you had the opportunity to hear about some of these great things during your child’s student-led confer-ence on October 6th and 7th. It was great to see so many of you here at Addams supporting your child and their learning. We are excited to see all Addams students grow in many ways during their junior high experience and we are very focused on them learning in the areas of math and reading. We look forward to seeing improvement for all students when they take their MAP test in both the win-ter and the spring.
Jane Addams has several different clubs and activities happening simultaneously, and to be honest, it gets tough to keep track of. In order to assist with this, we have an After School Clubs and Activities link on our web-site. Clicking on the Addams Resources link on our home-page and then scrolling down to the After School Clubs and Activities link will get you to a listing of what is happen-ing after school each week. We are hoping that this allows all families and student to take part in as many activities as possible while attending Jane Addams.

We will be having our student led conferences Thursday and on
Friday. As a part of the conference, we will have laptops available for parents
and students to use to access the Parent/Student Portal to see grade progress. Please
bring your username and password to the conferences tomorrow. If you do not have one, you may sign up for one at
conferences and can still access the Portal via your child’s username and
password.
